Shrimp Stir-Fry


Shrimp Stir-Fry is a quick and easy meal that is flavorful and filling! This recipe serves 4.

You will need:
  • 1 pound shrimp, deveined and tails removed
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium green pepper, thinly sliced
  • 3 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup diced green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preparation

  1. In large skillet, heat vegetable oil and, add onion, garlic, soy sauce, salt, and green pepper and red bell pepper. Sauté for 3 to 5 minutes.

  2. Add sliced carrots and broccoli florets. Sauté another 3 minutes.

  3. Add shrimp. Sauté additional 3 to 5 minutes, or until shrimp turn pinkish color. Remove from heat.

  4. Serve.

Variations

  • Substitute 1 pound uncooked chicken or beef for shrimp during Step 1.
  • For spice, add crushed red peppers to taste.
  • For heartier meal, serve with cooked rice or noodles.
  • For vegetarian Stir-Fry, do not add shrimp.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
